The following organisations may be able to help you with equality legislation, campaigning, training or advocacy work.

They will be in touch with particular groups in that community and will be able to offer you friendly, impartial advice that is often available for free. Click on the links to find out more:

Equalities and human rights - General Support
Discrimination Law Association - Aims to support individuals complaining of discrimination and to raise awareness and encourage debate on discrimination law and practice
Equality and Diversity Forum - A network of national organisations committed to equal opportunities, social justice, good community relations, respect for human rights and an end to discrimination based on age, disability, gender and gender identity, race, religion or belief, and sexual orientation
Henry Jackson Society - A not-for-profit think tank that embraces a number of academics, students and politicians.
International Organisation for Migration (IOM) - Born out of the chaos and displacement of Western Europe following the Second World War, IOM works to improve migration issues, encouraging better management processes, international cooperation, practical solutions and offering humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees.
Trades Union Congress (TUC)
- The TUC campaigns against discrimination at work and in wider society. Find out more about the TUC's work on equal rights for women, men and part-time employees, equality for black workers, lesbian and gay rights, disability issues and age equality
GMCVO
- A pan-equalities approach through a sub-regional equality and human rights forum for Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester Federation of Clubs for Young People - Our clubs and volunteers are working NOW to build the next generation
Oldham Council for Voluntary and Youth Service (OCVYS) - Support for the Voluntary Youth Sector in Oldham and the surrounding areas
Manchester Alliance for Community Care (MACC)
Age UK - Formerly Age Concern and Help the Aged, Age UK aims to improve the opportunities and quality of life for people aged over 50

Manchester Disabled People's Access Group (MDPAG)
Trafford Disability Information Service (Trafford DIS) - Information for Deaf and disabled people, confidential and free service and drop in sessions across Altrincham, Sale, Old Trafford, Partington, Urmston, and Davyhulme.

Refugees and Asylum
MRSN Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) - Visit their website for a directory of refugee community organisations in Greater Manchester, with details of 77 refugee and migrant groups and nearly 100 support agencies arranged in categories such children and families, disability, health and counselling, and young people.
Refugee Action - Working with Refugees to Build New Lives
Refugee Council - The largest organisation working with refugees in the UK, contains up to date information on legislation and myth busting
