GMVSS facilitate a number of networking groups, events and steering groups for its members to foster a culture of partnership and collaboration and to share best practice.  We have regular contact with each of our GMVSS members through:

Consortium Business Meetings (three times a year) - Staff representatives from each member organsiation come together for updates on project developments and to get involved in any relevant decision-making.
Consortium Themed Meetings (up to six times a year) - Staff from all member organisations have the opportunity to come along to a themed event on a topical issues (recent events have included 'equality and diversity', the portfolio of services' and 'statistics for the third sector'.
Networking Groups - These meet quarterly or when needed and include staff from member organisations. These include the Funding Information Group, the Performance Information Group, a Development Workers group and an Information Officers group.
Project Steering Groups - We have a project steering group for each of the above projects which are made up of representatives from member organisations. We also facilitate a foresight group, which is made up of Chief Officers from GMVSS members. The foresight group consider social, economic and political influences and look at how we can respond or prepare for the future.

GMVSS also offer:

  • A monthly bulletin for GMVSS members
  • A bi-yearly newsletter for key stakeholders
  • Regular emails and updates to targeted members
  • A website with useful information and guidance
  • A series of case studies to celebrate success and share best practice
  • Strengthened communication and engagement across the consortium through the Communications and Engagement Group
